Each week at Allisongs for Tots, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grownups gather for fun-filled family music time. Instructors serve as a model to help parents engage in music making activities which support all aspects of developmental learning including, socialization, tonal and rhythm development and language learning. Community based family music classes are beneficial to both adults and children as an opportunity to make new friends.
Why Mixed Ages?
We can learn from people of all ages and that includes a mix of adults and grandparents! Early Childhood developmental researchers have discovered that grouping children of different ages in one class encourages natural, family-style learning. In this class, everyone participates at their own pace- babies vocalize, listen, and observe; toddlers play and experiment; and preschoolers build confidence as they emerge as classroom leaders. Our classes place emphasis on the family and our mixed age classes allow parents to bring their children of different ages to one class. We are family focused!
“This program is superior in so many ways. Exposing kids to music in an environment that allows them to be kids and learn at the same time. My daughter truly loves it!” —Aimee O.
“We LOVED it!!! Our son had so much fun and so did we. Mr. Todd is FANTASTIC! And we can’t wait to join more of his classes.” —Jessica F.
